Banking Veteran Mark Skelton Joins FNBC
Mark Skelton has returned to the Batesville - Independence County market as Community President at FNBC, according to Marty Sellars, FNBC President and Chief Operating Officer. He returns to the Batesville area after most recently serving as President/Chief Lending Officer at Diamond Bank (formerly Diamond State and Arkansas Diamond) in Nashville, Ark. Skelton worked in the Batesville market for Merchants and Planters Bank as Vice President/Branch Manager and Citizens Bank as Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer before relocating to the South Arkansas city of Nashville. A Newport native, Skelton has more than 20 years of banking experience. “We are very excited to have Mark as our Community President in the Batesville market,” said Sellars. “His vast knowledge of the banking industry, the Independence County market and his strong work ethic make him a perfect fit at FNBC.” Skelton is an active member of the community as well. His civic duties have included president of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, secretary of the Independence County Public Education Foundation, chairman of Lyon College Regional Advisory Board, member of the UACCB Board of Visitors and WRMC Regional Advisory Board. He is a very active and devoted member of his church as well. He has served as deacon while attending North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville and at Mineral Springs Church of Christ in Mineral Springs as well as serving as a board member of F.A.C.E. overseeing a Bible Training Center in Benin, West Africa. "My family and I are very excited to return to the Batesville area," said Skelton. "I was thrilled with the opportunity to come to work with the fine folks at FNBC and be able to be part of this great community again." Mark’s office is located at FNBC’s new location at 1388 Harrison Street. Just off the intersection of St. Louis Street and Harrison. He joins employees Donna Gabbard, retail manager; Micah Beard, loan officer; Lisa Davis, loan assistant; Neil Wilkins, business development officer and Kristie Crosby, and Shana Herrington, tellers. Mark and his wife, Sonja, have two children, Emma and Elijah.. |
